Cooled by the Trade winds and perched between ocean and sky, this luxurious villa is set around a 4m x 7.5m horizon pool, with wonderful polished wood floors and soaring beams setting a tone of elegant ease. The main house contains a central Great Room with cable TV, VCR, CD/tape player, a large, built-in bar with French windows opening onto the pool and pool terrace.
One of Toa-Toa’s four very spacious and separate king master suites - this one with an indoor-outdoor garden shower - is directly above. Off to one side of the pool deck is the kitchen, a covered dining area with built-in barbeque, and the billiard room. At the opposite end of the pool deck is the third pavilion with a king bedroom suite. The third and fourth king bedroom suites are in two additional pavilions, one above and one below Toa-Toa House, both easily accessible by steps from the pool deck.
All the bedrooms have ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms, mini-fridge and coffeemaker, handmade tiles and stylish furnishings, and private covered balconies.
OPINION
It’s a bit of an adventure getting to this villa - you need four-wheel-drive for the winding road that tracks the green seaside hills of Tortola’s south coast - but we believe Toa-Toa House is well worth the effort. With four equal-sized bedrooms this property is ideal for a group of adults and although it isn’t recommended for children under the age of eight all generations are stunned by the magnificent setting.
